You are dropped into an open-world, and tasked to collect resources and craft weapons, shelters, and many items that would improve your longevity of life; thirst, health and hunger. Rust is a survival-MMO game that is very popular among the stream community and throughout the world of gaming. Jeff Drake, a reviewer for games said "The freedom, challenge, and setting given to players make Rust as much of a compelling anthropological experiment as it is a game" (2020).
I chose this particular game piece because it is a well known game that was developed from the Unity engine. Never really played the game, but I've seen many reviews and game plays on it. Youtubers like Markiplier, VanossGaming and Welyn, just to name a few.
I also enjoyed the versatility of the game, allowing players to build their shelters to however they feel; with strategical decisions, players can really utilize the arts of security and giving their areas high security. For example, players can build bridges over a river, which can have traps for raiders. You can also hunt in the game, for meat and fur. Players can also form an alliance, a clan of players will benefit you in the long run.
The game uses the Unity 5 Engine, being released in 2014 with newly improved graphics, highly visible textures in the game as well as smooth movement gameplay. This was a huge plus for Facepunch Studios and Gary Newman (CEO of Facepunch). Also using the C# Script, which has been given high praise after the release of the game, as the preferred method for games.
