From across the lake,
Past the black winter trees,
Faint sounds of a flute.

Once again, I've messed around to try and draw up some more ideas around my main movie poster 'The Guide'.
I've tried plotting around with the context and story line of my imaginary movie. This poster resonates more with my theme of "Direction", in terms of the symbolism and metaphoric language, conveyed in this poster design.
The idea behind the black and white colour of the human subject was to reveal the 'place', of where the human subject came from. In this context, he was in a place filled with 'darkness'. Metaphorically, his struggles in life; addictions, crime, et cetera.
The wings represent the 'accomplishments' and 'happiness', associated with the life of the human subject, pictured in the poster. The blood on the wings represent the 'hardship' and the 'struggle' in which this human had to go through, to reach that 'happiness' (goal).
Hence the subtitle "Whatever it takes."
These compositions resonate well with the idea of "Direction". As like, 'finding' the direction to success, no matter what it takes.
The wings had to be redrawn and traced on Photoshop.
The image was taken on an iPhone.
